Brief description of study
What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of this study is to collect blood samples from people ages 5 years and older who are healthy volunteers or patients with CF or other pulmonary disorders. The blood samples will be used for a variety of studies related to CF, asthma, and other pulmonary diseases. We can measure biomarkers, like inflammatory proteins, and cellular-based biomarkers that help us identify changes in the airway using these blood samples.
THIS STUDY IS ENROLLING BY INVITATION ONLY - Potential participants may be identified from the CF Registry (#1011003555), during a clinical encounter and/or by reviewing the clinic schedule. Participants may also self-refer in response to word-of-mouth conversations. All recruitment/screening conversations will occur within the privacy of a clinical room or clinical research room, with the door closed. All study procedures, including consent, will also be performed in a private exam room.
