Overview

What is this study about?
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate using current gold-standards a sensing platform (wearables, environmental sensors, and analytics) that can objectively and automatically assess non-technical (NT) skills (e.g., communication, leadership, situation awareness) during robotic surgery. The goal is to compare observer-based assessments of NT constructs with wearable, environmental sensors.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Healthy
  • Age: Between 18 Years - 100 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
You were selected as a possible participant because you are either an experienced staff or trainee member of the surgical team performing robotic surgery at IU. Surgical team members include faculty surgeons, residents, fellows, anesthesiologists, staff (e.g., surgical technicians, circulating nurses).
