VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BIRTHING SUPPORT STUDY!

Overview

DID YOU GIVE BIRTH DURING THE PANDEMIC WITH VIRTUAL SUPPORT FROM A DOULA?  Join Our Study!

Virtual birth support has emerged as a new way to provide calm and confidence to birthing parents. Doulas, non-medical professionals who provide support and information during birth, have been limited by the COVID-19 pandemic in their ability to be physically present with their clients due to hospital regulations and other restrictions.

Researchers at Indiana University's Healthcare Journeys Lab want to learn more about whether and how virtual birth support can be effective and satisfying for birthing parents and their professional support team.

This study is looking for parents (age 18 and older) who have received virtual doula support (my phone, text, or video call) for a birth since March 2020 to participate in a Zoom interview about parents' experiences with virtual support.

Your participation will help researchers learn things that will help doulas and families have satisfying birth support experiences in the future.
