Brief description of study
The purpose of the study is to discover more about the effects that various aspects of the physical classroom environment have on positive student behavior and community relationships.
Detailed description of study
Researchers will observe children while completing their daily tasks and lessons in the classroom. The researcher plans to perform 8-12 observations in total, each lasting around one hour.
Children will participate in a small audio-recorded focus group where students will discuss various aspects of the classroom environment and provide feedback about how each of these aspects makes them feel. Participation in the focus group should take about 30 minutes. Participating students will engage in conversation about their classroom community as well as draw/illustrate the classroom space they enjoy working in the most.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Students in the participating 2nd grade classroom (ages 7-8).
