Brief description of study

The purpose of this research is to study whether stroke patients who receive general anesthesia (GA) or sedation (CS) during their endovascular therapy procedure have improved outcomes.

Detailed description of study

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive GA or CS during their endovascular therapy procedure, and researchers will review participants' medical record. Participants will also complete a quality of life questionnaire at their 3-month follow up visit.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Acute Ischemic Stroke
  • Age: 18 years - 90 years
  • Gender: All

Individuals between 18 and 90 years of age who will be treated with endovascular therapy following acute ischemic stroke.
