Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to examine whether an intervention (that uses standard care dietary counseling, combined with goal-setting, text messages, and a mobile application used to track foods) is possible.
Detailed description of study
During baseline, participants will meet with a registered dietician and complete an assessment with questions about diet, food intake over the past two days, and other questions about symptoms, and ability to reach goals and motivation to do so.
Participants will set 1-2 dietary goals and track diet every day over a 4-week period using the MyFitnessPal mobile app. Participants will complete a follow-up visit, consisting of an assessment with questions similar to those at baseline as well as satisfaction and ease of use regarding the mobile app. Participants will receive $30 after the baseline and $45 after the follow-up visit.
