Overview

Have you been newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes OR have you never been diagnosed with diabetes?

DID YOU KNOW?... Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is caused when the body attacks itself causing abnormally high blood sugar.

Researchers at Indiana University are looking for volunteers to provide blood samples that will be used for testing potential drugs and treatments that may prevent or reverse diabetes.

Blood samples from patients with type 1 diabetes will be compared to blood samples from those who have not been diagnosed with diabetes to see if materials developed in a lab (such as antibodies or cells) can inhibit type 1 diabetes related cells.

Your participation will help scientists to gain further knowledge that could lead to medical advancements in treating type 1 Diabetes.
