Brief description of study
We are seeking teens, caregivers, and health care providers to provide feedback on a mobile app for substance use.
The purpose of this study is to better understand adolescent, caregiver, and provider perceptions of an app for teens using substances.
Detailed description of study
What it involves: Study participation involves a single, 1 hour study visit:
- Participation in a demonstration of the mobile app
- Completion of a brief interview and surveys
Additional information:
- Visits can take place virtually
- Flexible scheduling includes times during the day, in the evening, and on weekends
- Participants can earn a $20 Amazon e-gift card
Who May Be Eligible:
Child/Teen:
- Adolescents ages 12-17 years old
- Lifetime history (5 or more times) or monthly use of at least one cannabis or tobacco product
- English speaking and can read English at an eight-grade reading level
Caregiver:
- Legal guardian of an adolescent with a lifetime history (5 or more times) or monthly use of at least one cannabis or tobacco product
- English speaking and can read English at an eight-grade reading level
Health Care Provider:
- Healthcare provider who screens, assesses, and treats adolescents with a history of substance use and/or their caregiver
- English speaking and can read English at an eight-grade reading level

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: substance abuse,substance use,alcohol use,tobacco use,nicotine use,cannabis use

Child/Teen:
- Adolescents ages 12-17 years old
- Lifetime history (5 or more times) or monthly use of at least one cannabis or tobacco product
- English speaking and can read English at an eight-grade reading level
