Brief description of study
Are you the parent/guardian of a child 10-17 years of age who has a diagnosis of PNES, NES, FND, or functional seizures?
We are inviting parents and guardians of adolescents who are diagnosed with nonepileptic seizures/functional neurological disorder to take part in this study.
Detailed description of study
What Will Happen During Study Participation
- First, parents will be asked to answer survey questions on their phone, tablet, or computer (approx. 15 minutes).
- Second, adolescents will receive a link to the survey and be asked to answer survey questions (multiple choice and a few open-ended) on their phone, tablet, or computer (approx 45 minutes).
- A paper-pencil version is also available and can be mailed to your home if needed.
Incentive/Compensation
- Parents will receive a $10 gift card and children/teens will receive a $25 gift card for completing the survey

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: healthy volunteer,seizure disorders

Age: 10 years - 17 years

Gender: All
Inclusion Criteria:
- A parent/guardian of an adolescent diagnosed with nonepileptic seizures (also known as psychogenic nonepileptic seizures, functional neurological disorder, or nonepileptic attack disorder)
- Your adolescent is 10-17 years old
- Your adolescent attended school while having this diagnosis
- Your adolescent had a seizure/event in the last three months
- You and your adolescent are able to speak and read English
Exclusion Criteria:
- Lack of caregiver consent or adolescent assent
