Brief description of study

Researchers at Indiana University School of Medicine want to work with families to better understand the challenges and barriers related to participating in a research study called the Functional, Imaging and Tissue (FIT) Core.  The goal is to recruit minority populations and families with children to have a better representation of aging, race, and ethnicity on muscle and bone health.

Detailed description of study

We are recruiting for two groups:

Group 1: Any Parent or Guardian (ages 18 and older) and their children (ages 8-17)

Group 2: Adults who are Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (ages 18 and older)

What would you need to do?
Participate in a 3 hour in-person focus group session (what we call “jams”) that will be held sometime this summer/early fall.

Each in-person jam will involve creative activities such as creating a collage with pictures, making examples of materials, and group discussion.

Compensation:
Persons who participate will be provided a $150 gift card at the end of the session.
