Brief description of study

The goal of this study is to learn about prediction of sudden death in children and adolescents with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. We are hoping to find out if the use of genetic results and heart imaging will improve the ability to assess risk of sudden death in children.

Detailed description of study

Researchers will ask participants for permission to collect health history information from their electronic medical records and permission to follow their health information through medical records for five years.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Riley
  • Age: - 18 Years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria:
  • Children and adolescents with HCM and aged 18 years or younger at the time of implantation of a primary prevention implantable cardio-defibrillator (PPICD).
Exclusion Criteria:
  • Not enough relevant health history information available in the participant's medical record
