Overview
Why
is this study being done?
The
purpose of this study is to conduct a census survey of Community Health
Workers (CHWs) in Indiana to describe the CHW workforce, including
demographics, scope of work, training, and reimbursement/ compensation.
Who can take part?
Community Health Workers 18 years of age or older.
Description
What
will happen during the study?
Survey
participants will be asked to complete a one-time online survey, which we
expect to take approximately 20 minutes.
Risk
You
may feel uncomfortable while answering the survey questions. You may skip any
questions that make you uncomfortable or that you do not want to answer.
Incentive
Survey
participants will have the choice to enter in a raffle for one
of twenty $100 e-gift cards.
If
you choose to enter the raffle, your name and email will be required. This
information will be collected and store independent of your completed survey.
There is always a risk someone outside the study team could get access to your
name and email.
Privacy
We
will protect your information and make every effort to keep your personal
information confidential, but we cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality. No
information which could identify you will be shared in publications about this
study.
Your
personal information may be shared outside the research study if required by
law. We also may need to share your research records with other groups for
quality assurance. These groups include the Indiana University Institutional
Review Board or its designees, and state or federal agencies who may need to
access the research records.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

- Employed or volunteering as a Community Health Worker (CHW)
- Over 18 years of age
- Able to read and write in English
Your participation is entirely voluntary and will not affect your relationship with your employer, professional association or other affiliations.
