Health Beyond Medicine: Understanding Everyday Needs of Older Adults
Joshua Vest
Primary Investigator
Brief description of study
Health is about more than medicine. That is why we are doing a study that is looking at how well different surveys measure social needs—things like housing, food, and transportation.
These needs aren’t medical, but they play an important role in health, which is why hospitals and doctors are asking patients about them more often.
By sharing your thoughts and experiences, you can help improve care for older adults in your community.
Detailed description of study
If you choose to join our study, we’ll ask you to complete a short online survey about your social needs. The survey can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.
With your permission, we would also look at your medical records to better understand your survey answers and learn more from them.
As a thank you for your time, you will receive a $20 electronic gift card after you complete the survey.
