Krista Hoffmann-Longtin
Primary Investigator
Brief description of study
Do you find using the internet and technology confusing? Is it difficult for you to find the health information that you need online? Do you find it difficult to use technology to seek healthcare?
YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH HEALTH TECHNOLOGY MATTERS. That is why this study is focused on learning how older adults use technology to manage their healthcare and how they feel about it. We want to hear about your experiences and see if using simple stories and everyday examples can help make health technology easier to understand and use.
By sharing your thoughts and experiences, you can help us in making health technology easier for everyone.
You may qualify to join this study if you are 65 years of age or older and live in the Indianapolis, IN metro area.
Detailed description of study
Step 1: Short Screening Survey (about 3 minutes)
First, we will ask you to complete a brief survey to see if this study is a good fit for you. The survey includes simple questions about things like your age, where you live, your comfort using the internet or technology, and basic health information. This helps us determine eligibility if you take part.
Step 2: Story Activity (about 30 minutes)
You will complete a short, easy activity online from home where you finish a story about a fictional person using health technology. There are no right or wrong answers—this is simply about your thoughts and experiences.
If you are interested, you may be invited to take part in additional study activities about using health technology.
