Brief description of study
The purpose of this Research Recruitment Database is to establish a registry of potential study volunteers in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery for research projects conducted by the DeVault Otologic Research Laboratory, which specializes in a population of individuals of all ages who have hearing loss. We also need healthy volunteers without hearing loss.
Detailed description of study
The DeVault Research Lab is part of the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and we are located downtown Indianapolis at Riley Hospital. The lab has been studying speech, language, and cognitive development in children with hearing loss for over 25 years! Over the years we have had many ongoing studies where participants are paid to participate and receive free testing, including their scores on standardized test measures.
