Detailed description of study
What will happen during the study?
Aim 1: Collection and biobanking of blood and urine from subjects recently diagnosed with T1D for biomarker evaluation.
Aim 2: Biobanking samples from ongoing mixed-meal tolerance testing (MMTT) or oral glucose tolerance testing (OGTT).
Aim 3: Performance of MMTT in healthy, non-diabetic adults and pediatrics, and biobanking of resulting samples.
Aim 4: Collection and Biobanking of samples in healthy non-diabetic adults and children.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Type 1 Diabetes, T1D, Healthy

Age: 1 years - 95 years

Gender: All
- Healthy adult or child without diabetes or new type 1 diabetic within 7 days of diagnosis by a physician.
- Pregnant
- Current smoker
- Psychiatric impairment or current use of anti-psychotic medication
- Chronic illness known to affect glucose metabolism or taking medications known to affect glucose metabolism
